Expectations for this new roster were not particularly high, but they got off to a 3-1 start in the LCS 2019 Spring. In November, he departed the organization and joined FlyQuest as their starting top laner.įlyQuest's 2019 roster, in addition to V1per, consisted of veterans Santorin, Pobelter, and WildTurtle, as well as sophomore support JayJ. V1per played in every game for TLA, but with Team Liquid being one of the top NA LCS teams, was never used by the parent club. This gave them a bye to the semifinals, but they were again upset, this time 3-2 by CLG Academy, and again missed the finals. Going into the Summer Season, mid laner Mickey was replaced by Insanity, but the team's performance barely faltered, and they finished 12-6 and in second place. However, in the playoffs, they were upset 3-1 by Echo Fox Academy and failed to make the finals. They eventually finished with a 13-5 record and won a tiebreaker over Cloud9 Academy for first place. With a roster of him, Hard, Mickey, Shoryu, and Joey, TLA was one of the best academy teams throughout the 2018 Spring Season.
